There’s a book I once read called Jennifer Government. I don’t remember it well, but I recall enjoying it. The point of it here is that there can be little distinction between myself and this cafe so this set of musings is written from the point of view of Jennifer Back-Again.

As such, we’ll start this off on Blursday, the 42nd Stardate of Maprilay and give some voice to thoughts on positivity, taxes, reviews, signs of peace, rights pie, parade rain, knowledge sharing, the direction of hate, and the ability to grow with experience. None of these things will be addressed at any length. We’ll also take time in this ramble to discuss things like the most amount of espresso shots we’ve put in one drink (6) and similar fun barista facts from the board game cafe.

Here we go…
– There’s enough vitriol out there so we’ll steer around that and toward hope as best we can
– If your taxes get spent on opportunities for people to better connect with community, it will cycle back around. This thought is brought to you by a small business, who discovered so many previously unknown taxes after opening. When folks can connect, they can support local businesses who then pay taxes back into the community.
– Rights, success, and generally most things that aren’t tangible are not limited. Someone having them doesn’t mean you get less (as the pin says – it’s not pie)
– Supporting someone’s passion doesn’t require enjoying the topic yourself. It’s sun on the parade just to enjoy the glow of the enthusiasm (and some patience… For example, I don’t care for Munchkin, but I love seeing groups banter about it).
– As much as we wish it, not everyone knows what you know. Their intentions may not align with what they present to you due to what you know that they don’t (example… detecting AI, knowing the state of Harry Potter…).
– Hate is hungrier than a lunch crowd and it eats in two directions – out and in.
– Whether we agree that people can change, we can see that folks can grow and adjust once they have experiences that inform them.
– I have experiences that I don’t choose to perpetuate, but showing each other a sign of peace every now doesn’t sound like a problematic thing.

And that’s the stress dump for today. Hoping you find your outlet as well. Personally, I’m looking forward to surviving space horrors at the will of the dice…

Until next time.
